This two-part webinar series will equip you with the tools you need to understand your nonprofit organization’s finances and present them in ways that speak to funders. Basic accounting concepts will be reviewed, and budget development methods will be discussed. Guiding principles from the Standards for Excellence® will be incorporated throughout the presentation to highlight the importance of ethics and accountability in financial management.

Whether your organization is a small start-up or a larger organization with a dedicated accounting department, this series will give you the confidence you need to talk about your organization’s finances with funders. This interactive web series will allow ample time for specific questions and provide opportunities to practice what is discussed.

At the conclusion of this two-part series, participants will be able to:

  2. Read nonprofit financial statements
  3. Construct a revenue and expense budget for an organization
  4. Orchestrate a clear conversation around finances for their board and funders
