Are you at the mercy of time….or…do you make time work for you?

Leading a nonprofit can feel like performing a juggling act – without ever having learned how to juggle.  Survey after survey and interview after interview with nonprofit staff and leadership alike demonstrate that the limited resource of “time” is a major obstacle to professional and organizational performance and to personal well-being.  This acute resource scarcity is true across sectors, as noted in a 2018 article on how CEOs manage time in the Harvard Business Review.

While you cannot eliminate the current state of constant interruption and volatility, you do have a say regarding how you lead in this environment and the thoughts and resulting actions that will lead to your own personal work and life balance and your organization to success.

During this 90-minute interactive workshop, we’ll explore time management and productivity, then take a big leap beyond to the exploration of time and productivity leadership.  Activities and discussion will address the following:

  • Exploring time perspective
  • Time use
  • The role of the individual in an organization related to time
  • The role of the organization: organizational culture related to time and productivity
  • Concepts of balance
  • Recognizing and identifying the “big” and “little” pictures
  • Identifying triggers
  • De-cluttering
  • Eliminating time-wasters
  • Recognizing non-negotiables and committing to them
  • Effective delegation
  • Setting boundaries
  • Effective and customized system development for time use and productivity
  • Project, task, and productivity management
  • Individual and organizational performance and well-being
  • Establishing time use and productivity ideals, goals, and strategy

Tools and resources will be provided.
