If you’re a nonprofit professional, you’ve likely heard the term “donor retention”. It’s one of the hottest topics of discussion in the nonprofit sector. But what exactly is donor retention? And why is it important?

This session explores the most recent data from the Fundraising Effectiveness Project, the root causes of poor donor retention rates, and the reasons why donors stay loyal. You’ll come away with several ideas for improvement based on leading research in the field.

James Goalder

With almost 20 years of experience working in nonprofit technology and sales and relationship management, James brings the perfect blend of experience for his role as Partnerships Manager at Bloomerang. In his 7 years at Bloomerang, James has enjoyed helping nonprofits and those who work with them find success with Bloomerang, utilize software to increase their effectiveness, and ultimately achieve their missions

About the 2022 Collaborative Conference:

​ Over the last two weeks in October, conference partners Alliance for Nonprofit Resources (ANR), the Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership (GPNP), PANO, and the Department of Public Administration at Villanova University hosted their first-ever hybrid conference experience!

With this year’s theme of Building the Plane While Flying It, we unpacked how we've all been building various planes while flying them - from wearing extra hats while recruiting for open positions to piloting new programs while simultaneously trying to fund them, and everything in between. We did this through two keynotes, 22 workshops, some in-person, networking, and more.
