Strengthening Orgs from the Inside Out: An Intro to the Standards for Excellence®
Wednesday, April 28 | 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM | Interactive Web Session

Presented by: Tish Mogan, Director of Standards for Excellence, PANO

The COVID-19 pandemic put nonprofit organizations to the ultimate test of sustainability. This past year has demanded innovation, creativity, and agility all while managing increased community needs, economic crisis, and civil unrest. Now, as we edge closer and closer to post-pandemic life, many of us are looking at our own infrastructure. Moving forward, how can we improve accountability? Efficiency? Transparency? How can we strengthen our organizations from the inside out?

Enter the Standards for Excellence®. This ethics and accountability code supports nonprofits in meeting the highest standards, legal requirements, and regulatory compliance of nonprofit governance, management, and operations. The six guiding principles of Standards promote integrity in nonprofit management and, ultimately, strengthen the public trust in PA’s nonprofit sector. Something that’s become more important than ever as we navigate through COVID and beyond!

This interactive intro session to the Standards for Excellence will include:

  • A basic overview of the Standards for Excellence,
  • A self-assessment checklist for participants to identify areas of excellence and opportunities for growth and improvement,
  • Educational resources, including sample tools and policies, available through the Standards,
  • Info about the voluntary accreditation and recognition process.

Executive Directors, Board Members, and Nonprofit Managers, join us to find out how the Standards can improve your governance, financial systems, personnel practices, fundraising, and more!

Want more? Join us for our virtual Standards for Excellence Implementation Workshops, a six-part series covering each of the six Guiding Principles of the Standards for Excellence. This series will take place every other Wednesday from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM starting June 2 and ending August 11 (note: the session on June 30 will run 10:00 AM-12:30 PM). Sign up for one session or all six!

Single Login Cost:
$10 per person for PANO Members | $20 per person for Not-Yet Members

Terms of Participation
Your purchase entitles you to a single login. Please do not share the login information with others, as it may interfere with your ability to join. If multiple individuals from your organization would like to view the webinar, please purchase separate tickets for each person or consider a group screening ticket (below).

Group Screening Cost (4-10 individuals):
$35 per group for PANO Members | $70 per group for Not-Yet Members

Terms of Participation
If you have 4-10 individuals interested in viewing the webinar, please have one person register selecting the group ticket. You can then enter the names and email addresses of up to 10 individuals to add to your group ticket.

This option makes the most sense when you have 4-10 individuals interested in viewing the webinar. For fewer than 4 attendees, a single login ticket for each person is the most cost-effective option. For more than 10 attendees, please email Christina at christina@pano.org to discuss options.

Materials & Login/Call-In Instructions:
Materials (PowerPoint and other handouts), along with instructions on how to login and call-in, will be emailed to attendees a few days prior to the date of the webinar. PANO uses Zoom as our webinar platform; you can familiarize yourself with Zoom and/or join a test meeting prior to these sessions.

Can’t attend? All registrants will receive a recording of the webinar following the live session!
