Keeping Your Org on Track: Legal Areas for Managing & Governing a Nonprofit
Thursday, February 11 | 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Webinar

Presented by: Thomas A. Tupitza, Esq., President, Knox Law, and Tish Mogan, Standards for Excellence Director, PANO

As a nonprofit, it’s crucial to have the essential legal, regulatory, and governance practices in place to be compliant. This user-friendly, practical, and hands-on learning experience will not only provide you with the essentials of legal and governance requirements for your agency, but also a great opportunity for best practice sharing and networking!

The program provides focused attention on key compliance issues for nonprofits, practical walk-throughs, and an interactive opportunity to discuss key forms and governing documents.

Together, we’ll cover:

  • Legal Compliance Checklist – a tool for an internal review on major areas of compliance at no cost other than staff and board time;
  • The Fundraising Solicitation and Acknowledgement Checklist – reviews the required legal and regulatory disclosures;
  • The Annual Checklist – promotes board education in fulfilling their major fiduciary responsibilities on an annual basis;
  • The Form 990 Public Relations Checklist – highlights areas involving legal compliance that need to be disclosed to the public.

Your purchase entitles you to a single login. Please do not share the login information with others, as it may interfere with your ability to join. If multiple individuals from your organization would like to view the webinar, please purchase separate tickets for each person or consider a group screening ticket (below).

Group Screening Cost:
$100 for PANO Members | $222 for Not-Yet Members

If you have four or more individuals interested in viewing the webinar, please have one person register selecting the group screening rate, then send a list of all individuals viewing the webinar (including names and email addresses) to christina@pano.org. This option makes the most sense when you have four or more individuals interested in viewing the webinar. For fewer than four attendees, a single login ticket for each person is the most cost-effective option.

Materials (PowerPoint and other handouts), along with instructions on how to login and call-in, will be emailed to attendees a few days prior to the date of the webinar. PANO uses Zoom as our webinar platform; you can familiarize yourself with Zoom and/or join a test meeting prior to these sessions.
