Advocacy: When Speaking Up REALLY Matters
Wednesday, May 27 | 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM | Webinar
What will it take for us to link arms to collectively speak up for the 50,000 public charities (501(c)(3)s) in Pennsylvania? We think a global pandemic provides such a reason. Join PANO and your colleagues to learn about current issues that are moving forward at the federal and state levels. Discover language and tools that you can use when talking about your cause to your elected and appointed officials. And finally, learn the basics about how to track the time you spend lobbying for your cause.
Participants will discuss:
The basics of lobbying
Current federal and state issues
How to get requests to one page or even one paragraph
Relationship-building basics with elected officials
Bridging political divides
The good news: you only have to be yourself and tell the story you already know, AND you can do in partnership with others who only want the best for your community.

Terms of Participation
Your purchase entitles you to a single login; multiple accesses to the Zoom webinar are not permitted. Please do not share the login information with others, as it may interfere with your ability to join. Feel free to gather up to two other individuals around your conference phone or workstation to listen and view the program together – if you and two others would like to view the webinar together, please purchase ONE ticket and we will send you one registration link. If each individual would like to view the webinar separately, please purchase separate tickets for each person or consider a group screening (below).

Terms of Participation
If you have multiple individuals interested in viewing the webinar, please have one person register selecting the group screening rate, then send a list of all individuals viewing the webinar (including names and email addresses) to christina@pano.org.
Materials & Login/Call-In Instructions:
Materials (PowerPoint and other handouts), along with instructions on how to login and call-in, will be emailed to attendees a few days prior to the date of the webinar. PANO uses Zoom as our webinar platform; you can familiarize yourself with Zoom and/or join a test meeting prior to these sessions.
Can’t attend? All webinar registrants will receive a recording of the webinar following the live session!
